Trama

Il film, raccontato dal punto di vista del protagonista, è la storia del soldato semplice Billy Lynn che, insieme ai commilitoni del reparto Bravo, si trasforma in eroe dopo una estenuante battaglia in Iraq e come premio torna a casa in un tour per la vittoria. Tramite una serie di flashback che culminano nel giorno del Ringraziamento durante uno spettacolo scenografico per l’intervallo della partita di football, il film rivela ciò che era veramente accaduto al gruppo di soldati, mettendo a nudo il contrasto tra il realismo della guerra e le percezione degli americani della guerra stessa.
