The Walking Dead: Scott Wilson assente nel tributo 'In Memoriam' degli Emmy, i fan gli rendono omaggio

Il segmento 'In Memoriam' della 71° edizione degli Emmy, così come accade ogni anno nel corso dell'evento, ha reso omaggio ai professionisti del piccolo schermo — attori, autori, produttori, registi — che sono scomparsi nel corso dell'ultimo anno.

Da Cameron Boyce a Luke Perry, sono stati diversi i protagonisti che, purtroppo, hanno popolato il tributo, ma i fan di The Walking Dead non hanno potuto non notare che tra di loro c'è stato un grande assente: Scott Wilson, interprete di Hershel nella serie della AMC.

Wilson è scomparso nell'ottobre del 2018 dopo aver perso la sua battaglia contro la leucemia, e si pensava che il segmento avrebbe ricordato anche lui, dato che nel corso della sua carriera era apparso in molte serie TV (come The OA, Damien, Bosch e anche The X-Files) e in diversi film. E su quest'ultimo dettaglio c'è da far notare che l'attore — che è apparso in lungometraggi come 'L'ultimo samurai', 'Pearl Harbor', 'Soldato Jane' e molti altri — è stato messo da parte anche nel segmento trasmesso durante gli Oscar.

He shouldn’t have been left out. He was a key character in the second to fourth seasons and I was glad he made one final appearance in Andrew Lincoln’s last episode. I will never forget that wise old man.

Scott Wilson was phenomenal on TWD, but he also had a decades long acting career and wasn't put it, which is a real shame because he was a terrific actor and from what I hear, an even better person.
