Con un comunicato ufficiale, Flying Carpets Games ha annunciato l'arrivo su PlayStation 4 di The Girl and the Robot, titolo previsto già per PC e Wii U, in uscita a dicembre 2014. E' stata Sony stessa ad interessarsi all'action adventure indie, ed il gioco, quando sarà disponibile, potrà quindi andare ad ingrossare le già consistenti fila di produzioni indipendenti per la nuova console.
