Nella canzone l'attrice fa riferimento a una clip diventata virale tratta da una sua intervista durante la promozione di Il coraggio della verità - The Hate U Give. Stenberg all'epoca aveva detto al conduttore di The Daily Show Trevor Noah che l'obiettivo del film "era far piangere i banchi", ma la dichiarazione è stata presa fuori contesto e spacciata come un commento su The Acolyte.

In un'intervista con THR, qualche giorno fa, Stenberg aveva risposto ad alcune delle critiche definendosi molto triste. Alcuni fan non hanno preso molto bene le affermazioni della regista sul fatto che la serie fosse "lo Star Wars più gay mai realizzato".
"In tutta sincerità mi rattrista che le persone associno l'essere gay a qualcosa di negativo" ha commentato Stenberg. "Mi rattrista che un mucchio di persone su internet stia sminuendo quello che considero il prodotto artistico più importante che abbia mai fatto".
