Si è conclusa ieri sera l'edizione 2019 del Sundance Film Festival, la kermesse più importante del cinema indipendente americano che si svolge ogni anno a gennaio a Park City (Utah).

Anche quest'anno, dopo l'en plain delle registe donne dell'anno scorso, i quattro Gran Premi della Giuria sono andati tutti a film diretti o co-diretti da donne: Clemency di Chinonye Chukwu (film drammatico americano), One Child Nation di Nanfu Wang (documentario americano), The Souvenir di Joanna Hogg (film drammatico internazionale), e Honeyland di Tamara Kotevska e Ljubomir Stefanov (documentario internazionale).
