Oscar 2013: Lo Hobbit domina le nomination ai VES Awards

La Visual Effects Society ha annunciato oggi le nomination all'undicesima edizione dei VES Awards, i premi della categoria degli artisti degli effetti visivi. Dei sette film attualmente in lizza per la nomination all'Oscar per i migliori effetti visivi, quattro non sono presenti nelle nomination ai VES (Cloud Atlas, John Carter, Skyfall e Biancaneve e il Cacciatore), il che dovrebbe essere un certo indicatore.

La maggior parte delle nomination le ha ottenute Lo Hobbit: un Viaggio Inaspettato, ben sette. Il kolossal di Peter Jackson dovrebbe essere il frontrunner per l'Oscar. Sei nomination per Vita di Pi e The Avengers.

Cinque nomination per il film di animazione ParaNorman, quattro per Brave. I premi verranno annunciati durante una cerimonia il 5 febbraio.
