Independent Spirit Awards 2019: Se la Strada Potesse Parlare è il miglior film, due premi a Suspiria
Ecco tutti i vincitori degli Independent Spirit Awards 2019
A dimostrazione che la campagna Oscar 2019 è molto strana, dopo tanti anni di convergenza tra Academy Awards e Independent Spirit Awards quest'anno ha trionfato Se la Strada Potesse Parlare di Barry Jenkins, premiato come miglior film, miglior regista, migliore attrice non protagonista (Regina King), miglior sceneggiatura. La pellicola non è nominata come miglior film agli Oscar, e probabilmente l'unico premio che coinciderà con gli Spirit sarà quello a Regina King.
Da notare i due premi a Suspiria di Luca Guadagnino: il Robert Altman Award ritirato da tutte le protagoniste del film, e il premio per la miglior fotografia.
Esilarante anche il numero musicale di introduzione ai candidati come miglior film, con John Waters e la drag queen Shangela:
