Alan Baumgarten ha ricevuto il premio per il miglior montaggio in un lungometraggio drammatico, battendo Sound of Metal, Mank, Minari e Nomadland. Soul ha ricevuto il premio per il montaggio nell'animazione, mentre Palm Springs è stato premiato come miglior montaggio in un lungometraggio comico. My octopus teacher, tra i favoriti nella sezione documentario agli Oscar, ha vinto il rispettivo premio. Spike Lee ha ottenuto l'ACE Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year Award.

Per quanto riguarda i Golden Reel Awards, l'associazione Motion Pictures Sound Editors ha premiato Soul, Tenet, Greyhound, Eurovision Song Contest oltre a Il processo ai Chicago 7. Quest'anno agli Oscar al posto delle due categorie sul suono ce ne sarà solo una, Miglior sonoro. Tra i nominati vi sono Greyhound e Soul, mentre il film di Aaron Sorkin non è candidato.
Il MPSE Filmmaker Award è andato a George Miller, regista di Mad Max. Il premio alla carriera invece è andato a Dennis Drummond.
