Il gioco da tavolo The Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots diventerà un film con Vin Diesel grazie a un accordo tra la Mattel Films e la Universal Pictures. Diesel sarà protagonista del film e sarà anche produttore con la sua One Race Films, come riporta Deadline.

Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots è arrivato sul mercato nel 1966 e sarà "emozionante" a detta di Diesel portarlo sul grande schermo:

Prendere il gioco classico Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em e renderlo un mondo e un franchise come già fatto con altri prodotti Universal è elettrizzante.

Robert Brenner della Mattel Films ha poi aggiunto:

Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots è il secondo progetto in sviluppo tra la Mattel Films e la Universal Pictures sulla scia di un film di Wishbone basato sulla nota serie televisiva. Altri film della Mattel in sviluppo sono American Girl, Barbie, Barney, Hot Wheels, Magic 8-Ball, Major Matt Mason, Masters of the Universe, Thomas & Friends, Uno e View-Master.
