Si sono tenuti stanotte al Nokia Theatre di Los Angeles gli MTV Movie Awards, presentati da Conan O'Brien e votati dal pubblico.

A vincere il premio più importante è stato Hunger Games: la Ragazza di Fuoco: nel ritirarlo, i vincitori lo hanno dedicato allo scomparso Philip Seymour Hoffman. Il film ha ottenuto anche i riconoscimenti per il miglior attore e la migliore attrice (Josh Hutcherson e Jennifer Lawrence).
