Agli Hugo Awards 2016 trionfa Sandman: Overture di Neil Gaiman e J.H. Williams III, oltre al finale di stagione di Jessica Jones!

Sandman Overture 1Sono stati assegnati quelli che tradizionalmente vengono considerati gli "Oscar della Fantascienza", gli Hugo Awards: tutto ciò che è narrativa fantastica, dalla sci-fi più "hard" al fantasy, espresso in qualsiasi mezzo narrativo, dai film alle serie televisive, dai romanzi alle fanzine.

Anche quest'anno il mondo del fumetto si è distinto con due premi di spicco, quello vinto da Neil Gaiman e J.H. Williams III per Sandman: Overture, il "prequel" alla tradizionale e acclamata serie del Signore dei Sogni della Vertigo, che ha conquistato il premio Best Graphic Story.

C'è spazio anche per la Marvel: l'episodio conclusivo della prima stagione di Jessica Jones intitolato AKA Smile, ha ricevuto il premio come Best Dramatic Presentation, impresa ancora più notevole se si considera che nel contesto degli Hugo Awards il telefilm di Netflix doveva vedersela con l'inossidabile Doctor Who, abituato a fare incetta di premi in quella categoria.
