Prima della cerimonia trasmessa in tv Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando e Andrew Wyatt (che hanno scritto Shallow) hanno ricevuto il premio per la miglior canzone scritta per i visual media, e successivamente Gaga ha ritirato il premio per la miglior esecuzione pop in duo o gruppo. Lady Gaga ha vinto anche un premio per la migliore esecuzione pop solo per Joanne (Where do you Think you're Goin'?).
