Il cinema e i videogiochi hanno ormai una relazione molto profonda fatta di citazioni reciproche, adattamenti nell'una o nell'altra direzione, stilemi artistici scambiati e presi in prestito.

A volte vediamo i protagonisti di una pellicola intenti a giocare a un videogame o, altre volte, li ritroviamo proprio immersi in un contesto "digitale" come in TRON e relativo seguito.
