E' la DreamWorks Animation a trionfare alla 38esima edizione degli Annie Awards, il premio della categoria degli operatori del cinema di animazione: dieci, infatti, i riconoscimenti ottenuti da Dragon Trainer.

Un solo premio per la Disney/Pixar, per Day & Night, come miglior cortometraggio. La major, come noto, ha boicottato la cerimonia per via di una annosa querelle legata al sistema di iscrizione e votazione: in agosto, la Disney/Pixar ha annunciato che non avrebbe più partecipato ai premi in quanto il sistema sembrava favorire i film della DreamWorks. Ciononostante, Toy Story 3 e Rapunzel hanno ottenuto numerose nomination, anche se la compagnia non ha fatto alcuna promozione per fargli ottenere riconoscimenti.
