Buffy: i fan si dividono online dopo la notizia del possibile reboot della serie

Fox 21 TV Studios ha annunciato ufficialmente lo sviluppo di un reboot della serie cult Buffy - L'ammazzavampiri, progetto che potrà contare sulla presenza di Joss Whedon nel team di produttori e sul lavoro di Monica Owusu-Breen che ne sarà autrice e produttrice esecutiva (qui tutti i dettagli).
La notizia ha diviso il fandom della Cacciatrice, tra chi è entusiasta all'idea di un ritorno della storia sugli schermi e chi ritiene sia solo l'ultimo esempio di mancanza di originalità da parte degli autori che lavorano nel settore televisivo.

Molti tweet sottolineano poi che lo show con protagonista Sarah Michelle Gellar si era concluso gettando le basi per potenziali spinoff o una continuazione della storia. Il coinvolgimento di Whedon nello sviluppo del progetto potrebbe quindi far sperare in un collegamento diretto tra la serie che si è conclusa dopo sette stagioni e quella attualmente in fase di sviluppo.
