I 100 programmi televisivi più visti negli Stati Uniti del 2017

Quali sono stati i programmi televisivi (tenendo conto anche dello sport) più seguiti del 2017?

A questa domanda risponde ancora una volta Nielsen che come ogni anno condivide la lista dei 100 programmi televisivi con il rating più alto e i 100 programmi televisivi seguiti dal maggior numero di telespettatori. Vi ricordiamo che per gli investitori e i pubblicitari in America c'è una netta differenza tra le due misure di valutazione: i pubblicitari sono solitamente interessati al punteggio rating che ogni programma ottiene nella fascia d'età che va dai 18 ai 49 anni, ma questo non significa che il numero dei telespettatori sintonizzati non sia comunque importante.

Quest'anno ancora una volta è lo sport ad avere la meglio sugli altri programmi televisivi, sebbene i rating di questa stagione del National Football League abbiano visto un calo del 9% rispetto alla scorsa stagione. È però vero che questo calo rispecchia il crollo generale che vi è stato tra i network broadcast durante l'autunno 2017 rispetto a quello dell'anno scorso. L'NFL è comunque il programma televisivo sportivo (e non solo) più seguito in televisione: 44 dei 100 programmi con il rating più alto andati in onda in prima serata sono state partite dell'NFL. Includendo anche gli altri sport, il numero cresce a 62. I programmi d'intrattenimento quali game show o serie televisive coprono la parte più piccola di questa classifica.

La serata degli Oscar è stata la più seguita per quanto riguarda uno show non sportivo, si posiziona subito dietro la serata dedicata ai Grammy Awards che nella classifica generale è ferma all'undicesimo posto.

Che il Super Bowl sia stato ancora una volta il programma più visto non è affatto una sorpresa, visto che è il 30° anno consecutivo che accade. L'evento è infatti stato seguito da una media di 111.32 milioni di telespettatori, ossia il 132% in più di quanto ottenuto dal secondo programma più visto, l'AFC Championship Game, che ha ottenuto una media di 47.95 milioni di telespettatori.

Così come nella classifica riguardanti i rating, anche nella classifica dedicata ai telespettatori sintonizzati la serata degli Oscar è l'unico show non sportivo a far parte della Top 10, stesso dicasi per i Grammy Awards.

NCIS è la serie con più episodi all'interno della Top 100: 19 episodi dello show fanno parte di questa lista, tre volte di più della serie della CBS di punta, "The Big Bang Theory". Anche per quanto riguarda questa classifica i dati che sono stati rilasciati sono relativi solo ed esclusivamente alla prima messa in onda.
